In the 1940s, black singer Billie Holiday (Day) enchants audiences with her unique voice, but also provokes them with heavily controversial songs like “Strange Fruit”. Soon, the Federal Department of Narcotics launches a targeted attack on Holiday with an undercover sting operation, led by black Federal Agent Jimmy Fletcher (Rhodes) who develops a strong relationship with the singer…
