• Young leads Marni Duggan and Galaxie Clear (someone put the latter in a movie opposite Chase Infiniti, stat!) share believable adolescent chemistry as friends undergoing a natural change
• It offers a frank and humorous look at growing up that few other movies aren’t quite as able to accurately portray
• Funny, moving, and wise beyond its years, this is a nice little treat for anyone who’s ever gone through those growing pains during their own teen years

• The film is anchored by the tremendous performances of young leads Maya da Costa and Myra Molloy, who excellently sell their characters’ growing bond as well as their individual anxieties
• Similar to the recent Leviticus (albeit nowhere near as horrifying), it tackles the complexities of young queer love within a society that isn’t always so accepting
• It’s a deeply personal work of art by Kiyoko who consolidates aspects of her own experiences into an accessible and crowd-pleasing narrative

• It sadly marks one of the last roles for Spanish lead actor Manolo Solo, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a prolonged illness
• Luckily it’s also one of his finest performances, as he shares formidable chemistry with co-star Maria de Medeiros, most famous for starring alongside Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction
• The film picked up numerous accolades at the Lola Gaos Awards in Spain’s Valencia Community, including Best Film and Best Actor
• It’s filled with plenty of sunny spirit that will move you to tears, both of laughter and of sadness
