Ben Manalowitz (Novak), a New York journalist and podcaster, learns that Abby (Tipton), a girl he once hooked up with, has suddenly died from an apparent drug overdose. Travelling to Texas for the funeral, Ben discovers that Abby might have actually been murdered, and puts his journalism skills to the test in order to uncover the mystery…
